R. Anderson Mayton Award
The Russell Anderson Mayton award is presented to the non-officer who responds to the highest number of fire calls annually. This award began after Mr. Anderson’s passing because until then no one could ever run more call than him! Mr. Mayton, known to us as Anderson or “Andy,” became a life member of our organization in 1977 and passed away in 2000 at the age of 74. This award was initiated by his family and the tradition continues, not only recognizing the impact of Anderson but also recognizing an individual who is able to compete with his performance!
